maincubes begins strategic partnership with Epsilon to expand digital services for customers

Epsilon, a global provider of connectivity and communication solutions, has started hosting its software-defined networking (SDN) platform Infiny by Epsilon from maincubes’ data centers. The new strategic partnership contributes to European data center operator maincubes’ rapid expansion of its network of service providers. Now the colocation services provider’s customers have access to an even more diverse range of services via the secureexchange® platform. The new strategic partner chose maincubes for its impressive high-availability, German-engineered data center infrastructure, which from now on will be another Epsilon point of presence (PoP) in Europe.

Maximizing availability and connectivity
Cloud and interconnection demands are driving new growth in the data center market. Our partnership with maincubes will enable more European businesses to accelerate their hybrid cloud strategy by combining secure, highly available data centers with a suite of global connectivity solutions,“ said Lee Myall, CCO of Epsilon. “Infiny will bring more connectivity options and add value for maincubes’ customers as we continue to grow our interconnect ecosystem.”

Infiny offers maincubes the ability to provide its European customers with automated on-demand connectivity with flexible and scalable bandwidth options. The secureexchange®-branded platform gives maincubes’ customers access to dedicated private cloud connectivity with more than 220 data centers around the world from its’ Frankfurt and Amsterdam facilities. maincubes has made substantial investments in the platform’s IT to guarantee a redundant connection and 99.9% availability.

Structure Research predicts that the global market for data center colocation and interconnection (DCI) will grow by ten percent between 2019 and 2024.

“Epsilon enables us to support more of our customers’ interconnection needs as they grow, transform and deploy new software and services. The addition of SDN to our portfolio means that customers can easily access data center and networking solutions from a single provider,” commented Oliver Menzel, CEO of maincubes. “We chose Infiny by Epsilon for its intuitive platform, but also the company’s proven expertise in networking. They make it easy to procure, deploy and manage global connectivity without adding complexity to our operations.”

Global connectivity paired with top security
One of the challenges associated with digitalization is adapting quickly and flexibly to the disruptive forces associated with the new digital business models that are emerging. To overcome this challenge enterprises have to network and build ecosystems. Infiny by Epsilon offers connectivity to a global network. maincubes supplements this network with its secureexchange® platform, as well as two high-availability and secure data centers in Frankfurt (FRA01) and Amsterdam (AMS01). The ISO-certified, TÜV-tested and ISAE 3402-certified data centers provide a colocation infrastructure that satisfies the highest requirements of data security and integrity. maincubes is already planning another data center specializing in high-performance computing in the Rhine-Main region.
