maincubes FRA01 data center

Frankfurt, September 27, 2017 – The German data center operator and SME, maincubes, will put its new data center in the Rhein/Main into operation on October 1, 2017.

In just 16 months a cutting-edge data center was built, with 4,200 square meter’s of IT space and total operating performance of 11 megawatts. The opening ceremony will take place on October 26, 2017, under the motto “Digitization has a safe new home with us”. Guests and speakers from politics and business are expected. What’s more, this day will offer the possibility to take a look behind the scenes and experience how more than 2,000 racks can be operated efficiently and safely in future, even with the very high power density of 10kW and more.

Together with the strategic partners, maincubes offers an extensive SecureExchange platform, which provides customers with important added value on the road towards a digital future: Secure and efficient connectivity and cloud services around the globe with direct access represent the foundation for particularly secure eco systems, as are required in areas such as Industry 4.0 and Finance Cloud, among others.

The direct connection of the SecureExchange platform to DE-CIX, which is just 800 meters away, means the new maincubes data center is right in the middle of the Internet and cloud world. Important services like Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services can thus be reached securely and directly. Furthermore, the ITENOS Data LogistIX platform offers the ability to implement flexible multi-cloud strategies.

Thanks to a secure link to the maincubes data center in Amsterdam, all of the customers connected to that Internet hub can also access all of these services. For maincubes, security is an ultimate quality criterion, and in this area it even exceeds many of the usual market standards. Data protection (GDPR), ISO27001 and TÜV Level 3 are expected by every customer. But maincubes has also realized the industry standard “ZeroOutage” and offers 100% available colocation services based on the implementation of ZeroOutage best practices in the SLA area.

Colocation with that extra bit of security is aimed in particular at SME customers, in order to facilitate increased usage of colocation, connectivity and cloud services in future and enable new business areas to be exploited. System vendors and cloud providers will be able to offer their customers appropriately refined services.

With its active membership in the Alliance for Cyber Security, TeleTrust and SME business associations, maincubes wants to help overcome many of the existing hurdles that companies are facing nowadays.
