Frankfurt, 8 April 2016 – Data center operator maincubes is building a high-performance centre in the Frankfurt area and thus proves itself to be right on trend. For example, according to a study by DWX (Developer Week), just 16.7 percent of the programmers questioned use the cloud, since their security and the requirement of storage in Germany are very important. Here, only a little over 21 percent prioritise costs over the matter of location. "In Germany we need more high-performance Data centers. We have sufficient Data center service providers who come from abroad or who only offer standard services, but what many companies need now is extraordinarily high performance combined with the local security of a German provider," comments Gunter Papenberg, Sales and Marketing Director at maincubes one GmbH.

A Data center in a league of its own

The maincubes Data center is taking shape on a site of almost 5,600 square metres in Offenbach, around 4 kilometres from the metropolis of Frankfurt am Main and thus in the immediate vicinity (approx. 800 metres) of one of the biggest internet exchanges (DE-CIX) in Germany. maincubes one Data center is a Data center in the tier III category, which is due to be completed in 2017. maincubes one is improving the relationship between performance and economic viability considerably thanks to a novel combination of technology and architecture, which functions without disruptive pillars or walls, for example. The new maincubes one Data center achieves considerably greater efficiency than classic Data centers. Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) of less than 1.35 with output of up to 2 kilowatts per square metre is guaranteed for customers.
