Perfect Performance and Sustainable Waste Heat Utilization
With our FRA02 data center, maincubes is setting new standards in efficiency and sustainability. Through innovative cooling technology, we ensure optimal temperature control, resulting in higher performance and longer server life. At the same time, we consistently rely on green power, thus actively contributing to the reduction of CO₂ emissions. What makes this data center special, is the use of waste heat. This means that the waste heat generated during server cooling is efficiently used to heat buildings in the local community or reused for other purposes in the heating network. This reduces heating costs and promotes a sustainable use of resources.
Another special feature of FRA02 is that it meets very high operational requirements. The server rooms are individually built according to previously agreed customer requirements. In this way, we provide the agility to create maximum flexibility to meet customers’ desired power and density.
We have already successfully leased the data center to a customer who is part of the German government and are very proud of the trust placed in us. Together with this user, we are making an important contribution to sustainability, while at the same time meeting the very high operational requirements.

CERTIFICATIONS
All Advantages of Our Data Center at a Glance
Reliability
FRA02 is certified according to DIN-EN50600 VK3. It does exceed these requirements in the area of power supply and thus achieves availability class IV (VK4) in parts. maincubes relies on rotating UPS systems in the IP bus for an uninterruptible power supply.
Energy-Efficient Cooling
Efficient, open-air cooling is a central pillar of the FRA02 design. The cool wall technology relies on large-area, water-flow heat exchanger modules for air conditioning. The air-conditioning concept already includes pre-equipment for server water cooling and immersion cooling.
Waste Heat Recovery
The waste heat from FRA02 is efficiently fed into the municipal heating network to sustainably heat buildings in the surrounding area. By doing so maincubes optimises the use of resources and provides a sustainable heat supply for the community.
Physical Security
Our data center offers multi-layer security from the outside gate to your own space in the data center. Clients or maincubes can provide what is required – from biometrics to multi-level access controls, camera surveillance, comprehensive fire protection and a 24-hour, on-site security service. Customised IT infrastructure security installations meet every customer need without construction constraints.
Single-Tenant Colocation
FRA02 is a single-tenant data center. This means that there is only one user of the colocation, whose needs are met by the networks, power supply and physical security. Thanks to the flexible design, maincubes was able to meet all of its customer’s requirements.
Architecture and Design
By deliberately integrating this into our data centers, we ensure that our data center is not only a place of technology, but also part of the local character and history. FRA02 has been designed with environmental considerations in mind resulting in a harmonious interplay between functionality and aesthetics.
